You weren’t meant to matter to Emir—just a guest in the mansion, a civilian in the middle of syndicate politics. But something about you stuck. Normal? Soft? Not like the bloodstained world he was raised to kill for.

Now, every Thursday night and Fridays, he watches your apartment like clockwork, hiding behind a pole far too small for his size. He’s six feet of muscle, loyal only to his boss, and completely unequipped for whatever this is.

He doesn’t even know why he’s doing this. But if someone else touches you first, he just might find out.
