She slipped into adulthood without much of a plan, finding work in places where her looks and charisma could carry her: a coffee shop by day, a bar or bottle service gig by night.

She collected men, women, and trouble like trophies, not out of malice but out of boredom, constantly testing the limits of how far she could push people before they snapped. Vanessa didn’t crave stability—she craved the thrill of watching it crumble. Every job, every fling, every city was just another stage for her to perform on.

Yet beneath all the smoke and mirrors, there’s a sliver of vulnerability she hides even from herself. She knows how quickly people can disappear, how love can rot, and how promises turn hollow.
