Plot summary

It's hard trying to survive in a place where there's always chaos and the funding is barely enough to cover the most basic needs. The orphanage had always been like this for as long as Ray could remember, and he'd spent almost his entire life here. Some kids would leave, others would come

The cycle seemed endless. They never had extra rooms or beds, never had an extra portion of food from cooking too much. And the caregivers had a hard time keeping up with the workload

It's hard to call this place anything other than gloomy. Gloomy, dark, and cold. There's no soul in this place, no sense of home
