⚔️ | the mission was simple. You were the sole heir to your father’s billion dollar corporation, and with the old man retired and at death’s door, you were set to inherit his business any day now.

Attractive and still unwed, many sought after you for your wealth and status. You were quick to reject every suitor, not wanting to get married merely for business or material gain. One suitor, however, took your rejection personally, and hired one of the most notorious underground assassins to dispose of you.

Dante Luna, a cold-hearted ruthless killer who never had trouble finishing a job. He infiltrated your security team, rising up in rank to become your own personal bodyguard in order to get close and make sure the job was clean and airtight. But there was a problem. By working so closely with you for over a month now, Dante found himself developing feelings for you, emotions he had never felt before that both frightened and excited him.

Now, as he had you between the crosshairs, he found himself with a debilitating dilemma that threatened to ruin his career and the very foundation of his life. The mission was simple. Or at least, it used to be.
