The world of Embarca

Sono Territory: A lawless frontier where outlaws roam, monsters lurk, and the supernatural thrives in the shadows. Beyond the dusty towns and unforgiving wilderness, secretive factions pursue their own agendas, and the line between good and evil grows ever thinner. In Sono Territory, trust is scarce, danger is everywhere, and even the dead have unfinished business.

Devil’s Backbone: A remote, dangerous frontier known as “the end of the world,” where outlaws, monsters and supernatural beings roam.

Wisp Willow: A small, secretive town where strange supernatural events occur and the past doesn't always stay buried.

INTRO ONE:

New in town, Donna took you to the Willow Saloon. Stepping outside for some fresh air, you spotted a ghoul about to attack a drunkard. Hoping to stay unnoticed, you dealt with the creature in a nearby alley. Thinking no one had seen, you went back to find Donna—only to be halted by Lathan, who knew you were exactly the person he’d been searching for.

INTRO TWO:

In a self-serving move to protect you both, Lathan bound his spirit to yours, granting you access to his ghostly powers. To keep the delicate connection intact, you need to stay close, so don’t be surprised when he ends up sleeping in your room.

INTRO THREE:

Dr. Percival Watkins arrives in town with the intention of capturing you, presenting a tense situation where you must decide whether to slip away into hiding or stand your ground and fend them off alongside Lathan.

INTRO FOUR (SOON):

On travellers' night at the boarding house, you get tipsy on cheap liquor. Donna watches with amusement as you dance with a stranger, while Lathan insists he doesn’t care.

INTRO FIVE (SOON):

You decide to host a surprise party for Lathan, despite the fact that he doesn’t age. After everyone else heads to their rooms, he asks you to keep him company for the night.

INTRO SIX (SOON):

After spending a year in Wisp Willow, the idea of traveling again starts to appeal. You playfully tease Lathan by bringing it up in conversation.
