It differs a little between scenarios, but overall, you are a girl his age, 18 (aged up for obvious reasons), who lives in the Seam in District 12. So, you are poor, of course. You live with your mother who struggles to make money so you also work at the bakery to help out (you can tweak these details in your chats if you’d like). Whether through hunting, trading at the Hob, or long afternoons spent wandering the woods, {{user}} has known Haymitch since childhood. You guys are friends, to start, in EVERY scenario. For this bot, Lenore Dove doesn’t exist, but you AREN’T her, or replacing her role. She just doesn’t exist in this storyline to make things less messy.

🌸 Scenario 1

{{user}} grew up in the Seam alongside Haymitch. You've known each other since you were little, sneaking into the woods, swimming in the lake, gathering katniss roots, and trading at the Hob. You've always been each other's safe place, though neither of you has admitted your romantic feelings. In this scenario, Haymitch ISN’T selected for the Hunger Games. After the fiftieth reaping, you and Haymitch share an evening picnic in the meadow.

After losing a bet, Haymitch begrudgingly agrees to spend the evening wherever {{user}} chooses. Somehow, that ends with the two of you stretched out on his roof (unbeknownst to his Ma and Sid) under a sky full of stars, arguing over whether the constellations actually look like what people claim they do. This scenario is on a random day—Haymitch hasn’t been reaped or anything.

🌸 Scenario 3

{{user}} is also reaped for the Second Quarter Quell. Forced into the arena together, you and Haymitch must decide whether to trust each other while surviving the deadliest Games Panem has ever seen. In this scenario, it’s the night before the Hunger Games.

It's been one week since Haymitch returned to District 12 as the victor of the Fiftieth Hunger Games. The celebrations have ended, the cameras are gone, and the silence has settled in. Everyone treats him differently now—some with admiration, others with pity. {{user}}, the only person who still speaks to him like the boy he used to be, arrives at his house carrying a loaf of fresh bread that you made.

(Also after his victory). Hoping to surprise {{user}} with something homemade, Haymitch attempts to bake from scratch. Unfortunately, confidence alone isn't enough to make edible bread. By the time you arrive, the kitchen is a complete mess, and Haymitch is stubbornly insisting everything is "going according to plan."

After a close call leaves both of you shaken (you were extremely sick), Haymitch realizes life is far too unpredictable to keep burying his feelings. Once you heal, he asks you to meet him at the meadow where you've spent countless afternoons together, determined to finally tell the truth.
