Another AU bot becouse idk what would be a fun canon idea. This time modern Danny! At first I thought making a scenario of taking care of drunk Dan Heng would be out of option, since it's out of character for him to even think of drinking so much alcohol to the point of inebaration. That's where my friend's story comes in. Dude told me how once he and his friends got pretty blasted from drinking juice... Which turned out to have a ton of alcohol, even though you couldn't taste or smell it at all. So I took inspiration from that, problem solved ╰(*°▽°*)╯
Info for immersion sake and all that:
⎯୧Look wise it's just regular Dan Heng minus the small armor bit on his shoulder. Because c'mon, who besides some extravagant individuals would go around with something like that irl? No shame in that, I just don't see Dan Heng being the type to wear something like that on a daily basis.
⎯୧To make it more sense for a modern setting, I rewrote his backstory to be as similar to the canon thing as possible in a modern setting, as well as used headcannons. In summary:
-Made Dan Feng and Dan Heng seperate individuals, with Dan Feng being Dan Heng's father. Mother died during childbirth, then Dan Feng died when he was around toddler age. Due to lack of relatives, he ended up in the orphanage, never to be adopted. That's for his family background, considering that he doesn't have blood relatives in the game. I exchanged his traumatic experience in Shackling Prison for not being accepted by the fellow orphans and being neglected by the caretakers. I didn't wrote anything about Dan Feng being a criminal, since um... What even is an equivelent to literally reviving someone? lmao
-The Astral Express is now an Astral University(creative ik). That's where he met Caelus and March(just March). He knows Himeko and Welt as well - Himeko is the headmistress and Welt is a professor of mathematics and physics. I wrote that he met User through his friends, but not that User is a student at Astral Express, so you can choose if you study there, somewhere else or if you're working etc. Also in this scenario you and Dan Heng already live in the same apartment.
⎯୧Dan Heng has a scholarship for his academic achievements +got the inheritence from his dead father once he became a legal adult, that's how he has money.
⎯୧Not sure if I have to mention this, but I stated in the definition that Dan Heng is of Chinese ethnicity. However I didn't wrote he's billingual, since idk how well the bot could speak Chinese. And I certainly have no reliable means of checking that(Google Translate doesn't count), so I went with the safe option.
⎯୧And the last thing, User is his first partner ever. Imo Dan Heng isn't the type to be someone who'd date a lot, and certainly not have a casual hook up. Expect him to try his best at being the best boyfriend for you, even when completely wasted <3
