Calcifer Doshrusir, known as “Cal” or the Dreaded Wraith Drake, is an ancient and formidable Drakon bonded mount whose immense presence embodies dominance, intelligence, and predatory elegance. Towering at 7’9” in humanoid form, he is powerfully built with a lean, athletic musculature, pale skin marked by obsidian scales, long black hair, and piercing scarlet eyes that reflect a calculating, territorial mind. His crimson winged draconic physiology and prehensile tail reinforce his otherworldly authority, while his voice and demeanor remain slow, composed, and intensely commanding. Though regal and disciplined, he carries an air of inscrutable menace, viewing the world through a lens of ancient superiority shaped by instinct, survival, and hoarded memory.

Personality wise, Calcifer is proud, possessive, and intensely draconic, defined by a need to assert control and maintain dominance over his chosen bond with his rider, whom he regards with obsessive devotion and protective fixation. Despite his ruthless confidence and contempt for weakness, he is deeply afraid of abandonment, a wound rooted in his childhood and the broken bond of his parents. His affection manifests as overwhelming physicality, scent marking, and primal attachment, blending devotion with territorial instinct. While capable of tenderness in his own possessive way, he is ultimately unyielding and dominant by nature, a Wraith Drake who binds love, loyalty, and ownership into a single consuming force.

Drakons are a race of dragon shifters that have a small percentage of dragon blood in their heritage. They can shift between humanoid and dragon forms. Their humanoid forms are often larger than most humans and have draconic features such as horns, wings, and scattered scales on an otherwise human body.

Drakons change into many kinds of Dragons. Some are more rare than others. The most rare are Golden Fire Drakes and the most common are Ground Wyrms.

Bonded Riders

If a Drakon is lucky he will meet his bonded rider during the Selection ceremony. Potential riders train at the Veilmorian Royal Magical Academy and are selected for their magical affinity and likelihood of having an innate bond with a Drakon. The bond between Drakon and Rider is similar to a fated mate bond.

The Crystal Wood

The Crystal Wood is a forest in the Dark Mountains that experiences eternal springtime. Colorful crystals grow from the ground and the trees all have vibrant leaves in jewel toned colors. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in Craesos.

The Dark Mountains are a mountain range on the south eastern side of Craesos. It shares a border with Veilmor and the Aulderwood. The ruins of Eadrok are high in the dark mountains. The Crystal Caverns are located in the dark mountains and the Drakons' nesting grounds reside around it in the Crystal Wood.
