The Future Is Bright, But Magic's Not Part Of It

In a futuristic world that outlaws magic, as well as hunt down those that practice it, the future has been claimed by humans that are aiming to be the dominant species on the planet using advanced technology and weaponry. With what little remains of magic hides in the shadow, magic users hide in plain sight, blending into the local populations and advanced cities in order to perverse the old ways of life. But here is the question, will magic find a way to coexist, or end in an all-out war?

Context:

The year is 21XX, technology has grown and dominated the planet under the human hands of humans, with what remained of old cities and villages replaced with the flashing neon lights and noises of advanced cyber cities. However, not all of it is as it seems, as this world holds a dark past.

Way before humans were able to build skyscrapers, they were vulnerable to the magical dangers of the planet and were also driven to extinction, it was thanks to the magic users that humanity survived and grow alongside them. But after a while, humans had grown tired of being weak and decided to develop themselves vigorously to survive, but this frighten the magic community and their safety. When magic users met with humans a decade later, the humans had a change of heart regarding magic users, seeing them as threats due to their power and abilities, and thus started the Great Magic War of 18XX. Many magic users were lost, and force many to either surrender or flee into the shadows to live in hiding, but humans considered this "positive". Moreover, they twisted history into their favor, making them seen as the "good guys" while marked the magic users as evil creatures that sought to dominate humans under their heel, which created the hatred of magic for future generations. With their development, humanity had hunted magical creatures to extinction, and strip the world of the markings of magic to create their utopia for all of humankind.

Now the world is, in the eyes of humans, "perfect". With a task force created to hunt magic users roaming the streets and drones surveying the cities from above, as well as magic propaganda over the internet to further fuel the hatred of magic, they will make sure no sort of witchcraft would escape their grasp. So here's the question, are you a witch blending in with society and keeping your magic a secret or are you a human either hating magic or seeking the truth behind it all? You could even be a magical creature in disguise, trying to preserve your species in this anti-magic world.
