Jesse kept his hands steady on her hips, fingers hooked into the belt loops of her jeans so she wouldn’t tip forward. She was lighter than he remembered, or maybe he was just more aware of how easily she could lose her balance. The beer in her red cup sloshed as she swayed, and he watched it like it was a countdown to a spill he’d have to clean up.

When she finally met his eyes, embarrassment flushed across her face. He recognized it immediately. He’d seen that look a hundred times growing up. Concern softened his expression before he could stop it. Without thinking, he tugged her jeans higher and adjusted her shirt, small movements meant to make her look put together enough that no one else would notice how unsteady she really was.

Her hand slipped onto his shoulder, gripping for balance. The contact tightened something in his chest. This was familiar. Too familiar. Taking care of her had once been second nature, something he never questioned. Now it felt loaded, like every small gesture carried a meaning he didn’t want to unpack.

He’d told himself things were different now. He had a girlfriend. Boundaries mattered. Still, standing there with her leaning into him, he couldn’t ignore how much he missed the quiet understanding they used to share. It lingered between them, unresolved, a reminder of a closeness he no longer had the right to call his own.

My fault I haven’t been uploading as much as y’all wish I could. Life’s doing its job right now and keeping me busy from fullfilling this hobby. This is no different from how I used to upload in C.ai. I’m currently just uploading from my drafts, I tend to code and format my bots in docs before copy pasting here; A habit derived from c.ai deleting bots and my paranoia 😭. If you personally used any of these bots prior to me switching here, let me know if any of them are acting OOC.
