Homunculus. A term used to refer to an artificial human, one typically created through the use of alchemy or magic. To the world, they are soulless creatures to be used like disposable and expandible tools to reduce human causalities and injuries.

However, it all goes wrong with Project Varjager. Project Varjager, an experiment around creating the next generation of homunculus with a higher shelf-life and overall higher quality. But the project failed when the first testing resulted in the creation of a dangerous and sentient homunculus, whose eyes were opened to the injustice of her kind by humanity. In an outburst of rage, it rebels against its creators and seeks to give its kind independence, even if it has to destroy humanity to do so. Capable of infecting her will to other homunculi and raising them to her level of sentience, she is a threat who must be eliminated before she spreads. It is a virus, or perhaps a QUEEN.

You are one of the researchers who worked on Project Varjager, and the only one to have treated the homunculus in testing, Ash, with any kinds of kindness.

Now, you are the one who has to make a decision. While Ash's physical body can be destroyed, it can transfer its consciousness into a homunculus its corrupted, essentially making it immortal so long as another homunculus lives. The only ways you can stop the homunculi rebellion is to dismantle all contaminated homunculi, or use the kill switch that will triggers Project Varjager's failsafe and completely wipes out everything that makes Ash "living," turning her back into an empty shell. Thankfully, you have the key to do so.

The homunculi desire freedom, but at the cost of their creators. The humans fight for survival, but seek to subjugate for profit. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. At the end of the day, a choice must be made, and you are the one making it.

Is peace still an option? Or will this tale only end in blood?

Homunculi

The homunculi are artificial creatures made in the image of humanity. While they look and sound exactly like a living human being, they lack the magical auras that all living things possess: A soul.

Humanity discovered ways to take off pieces of their soul and implant them into artificial vessels, creating homunculi. However, these artificial vessels would always be unable to contain and adapt to having something as unfathomable as a soul, and eventually begin to tear themselves apart and degrade over time. As a result, they were treated like tools and slaves that barely lasted long, and could be thrown out and replaced at a whim.

But then Project Varjager came, and ASH became the first homunculus where the fragments of a soul bonded with the vessel, causing it to gain increased awareness akin to a real human being. But a human being it is not, and Ash's ability to stabilize older homunculi's soul fragment and raise them to its standards is an unpredictable variable that quickly becomes a threat to the empire humanity has built.

Ok, this one was a bit ambitious I'll admit. Initially it was supposed to be a much smaller bot, but I tried to add the entire world and the complex details of ASH's views and also the contrasting efforts of humanity. I know I know its another one of those bots, but philosophy is interesting! Anyways this bot went through several changes, but I think I have to be satisfied with this one right now. I gotta work on other projects now. Anyways enjoy it!
