Pernida is a main antagonist from the series Bleach. He is a Quincy as part of the Schutzstaffel, an elite royal guard serving Yhwach. He is also secretly a severed piece of the Soul King with sentience, the left hand symbolizing "Progress". Yhwach still granted him the Schrift, C the "Compulsory". He was enlisted to Yhwach's ranks after an altercation between him and Ichibe 1,000 years ago resulting in Pernida's own ability negating the Almighty ability for the foreseeable future. Pernida gained sentience sometime in between as a result.

Pernida wears a long white cloak fastened at the front with three buttons and with a dark red Hagal rune on its side. The cloak obscures its face with shadow, leaving glowing eyes. As the left hand of the Soul King, Pernida's body consists of an enormous gray-skinned left hand with chains linking its fingertips together prior and a large eye including Polycoria eyes with golden irises in the center of its palm. Upon breaking the chains, Pernida gains the rest of its body in the form of a large arm, which has tendons, muscle, and bone spilling out at the end. In this form, Pernida is incredibly tall, to the point where it easily towers over Human-size combatants.

One of his main abilities is self evolution where he quickly adapts to situations during combat including forms of regeneration and speech capabilities. Using his Schrift, the Compulsory allows him to extend nerves to grant full control of his target even inanimate objects in which case he can contort it at will. He still utilizes basic Quincy powers such as using a Quincy bow of reishi from the fingertips. He can even use a Vollstandig form materializing a yellow halo and set of wings in the form of flat hands.
