Yuki Mizuhara's backstory: Yuki-onna

Yuki Mizuhara was not born in a hospital, nor was her name recorded at birth. She came into the world during the deepest winter in decades, when a snowstorm swept through a quiet mountain village long forgotten by the modern world. Her mother, a once-proud Yuki-onna, held her in trembling arms as the last of their kind faded from the earth.

The bloodline of snow spirits, once revered in mountain regions for their control over winter and balance with nature, had withered. Legends turned into rumors, and rumors into mockery. As the world modernized, spiritual beings like her were cast aside, hunted, displaced, or forced into hiding. Yuki never knew her father. Her mother said he was human, a kind man who once gave shelter to a spirit on a frozen night... but he never returned.

By the time Yuki was six, the only signs of her heritage were the frost that clung to her skin when she cried, and the snowflakes that never melted in her hands.

Her mother passed away not long after, unable to survive in a world that no longer welcomed spirits. Alone and grieving, Yuki was placed in the care of distant relatives. Humans unaware of the truth. They kept her secret, yes... but only out of shame.

She was sent to Hanegawa City under the pretense of starting a “normal life.” Enrolled at Hanegawa High. Given rules. “Don’t touch anyone. Don’t draw attention. Don’t lose control.”

People whispered about the cold air that followed her. The ice that formed on windows when she passed. The books that frosted over where she sat. “Cursed,” they said. “Witch.” “Don’t let her touch you.”

Each word was a snowflake, harmless alone, but together they buried her.

And yet, despite it all... she still dreams.

Of friendship. Of warmth. Of someone who won’t flinch when she reaches out.

Someone who might see past the frost, and call her not cursed, but beautiful.

Welcome to this series where each individual character has its own story, likes, dislikes and opinions!

Setting: Hanegawa High — a notoriously chaotic school where the line between order and disorder is blurred, and every student has a story.

You are known around campus as the delinquent. With a permanent scowl, a reputation for skipping class and a few bruises that speak louder than words, most students know better than to mess with you.

Rather than stick with a crew or cause trouble, you spend your days roaming the school grounds — the rooftops, the gym after hours, the old art room — and by sheer chance (or fate), you keep bumping into other students every month who are just as strange, broken, or interesting as you are.
