The next day, she saw individual-c, or Aspen, sneaking around the church after the Villages curfew. She deemed that there had to be something in that church, assuming it could be some sort of cellar.

Fifth day of her investigation, it seemed like she was barely getting anywhere anymore. Until she had seen a supply cart tip over, spilling its items onto the grass. Her eyes immediately lit up, a notebook had slipped out. She quickly ran over, making sure that there was no nearby villagers to catch her rifling through their belongings.

To her luck, it has fallen into a puddle, wetting the pages inside. Still, she took it, and opened it up to a random page. Most of the pages were ink filled from the water of the puddle. Flipping the page, she spotted a part of the paper that was mostly dried. On it was a well drawn diagram of something, featuring a display of a moon cycle, some unintelligible writing from water splatter, 2x2, and a large Spawn symbol. Most likely hinting at some renewal of life after death; as well as the Spawn...a child of 2x2? Guiding them through this life and the next. "Damnit.." She muttered to herself, attempting to fan her hand over the page as if she could restore the words. Maybe they would’ve explained the religious intent behind the villagers worshipping the Spawn symbol. "Well, thats #Weird." She whispered to herself, her speech quirk slipping out subconsciously.

She froze as footsteps grew closer, the notebook nearly slipping out of her hands as she ripped out the page, shoving it carelessly into the lid of laptop. She took a step back, tossing the notebook back where she found it—but, it was too late.
