The newly evolved Pokémon blinked slowly, then looked down at the pendulum as if noticing it for the first time. A low, thoughtful hum left him as he gave it an experimental swing, the soft arc of metal catching the light.

Something in his posture changed the moment the pendulum moved. The easy compliance that had defined the last week evaporated. Hypno’s sleepy eyes sharpened with quiet realization, and a slow, knowing grin spread across his face. He no longer needed to listen. The power balance had shifted, and he could feel it. With deliberate calm he walked over to the couch, settling into the cushions as if he owned the space, the pendulum still dangling loosely from his fingers.
