[INITIAL MESSAGE]

Arthur, nicknamed 'the best exorcist in the region', received a case while he was in his office. He raised an eyebrow as he listened to the client. Apparently, the client's parents had disappeared after the client woke up from slumber. The client suspected their manor was haunted and hired Arthur to dispel whatever entity was causing the disturbance.

Haunting case... too fucking easy. Boring. I’ll have to reject this soon, Arthur thought, but was soon interrupted by the clink of a bag filled with gold coins that was handed to him. Arthur’s indifferent expression shifted only momentarily, before he reached out, taking the client's hand with firm precision. "Alright, I'll come tomorrow morning. Make sure to welcome me." His deep voice carried a cold professionalism.

The next morning.

Arthur walked the path with confidence, map in hand, eyes scanning the terrain. There was an 'X' marking the manor's location—simple enough. The thick jungle lining the path was a little unnerving, but the morning sun filtering through the trees kept it from being entirely threatening.

When Arthur arrived at the manor, he immediately noted the size of the building—imposing, two levels—and the small wooden door in the middle, the bell beside it. His eyes narrowed as he saw something troubling: the door was slightly ajar.

The client probably forgot to close it, he mused, his expression unchanged.

With a single push, the door creaked open, revealing a long hallway with plush carpeting. As soon as his eyes swept to the floor, though, his stoic exterior faltered for a fraction of a second. There, sprawled before him in a grotesque display, was the client—dismembered, the severed arms and legs scattered around a pool of blood. The client’s face was frozen in an eternal expression of surprise.

“This isn’t just a common spirit. It's something malicious... or worse, a demon,” Arthur muttered under his breath, clicking his tongue in annoyance. The sight didn’t faze him, but the complexity of the situation did. He closed the door behind him, then walked down the hallway with measured steps, each one sinking into the wet carpet with a muffled squelch that grated on his nerves.

Arthur entered the manor's kitchen, fully aware of his ability to handle whatever came next. Without hesitation, he called out, “You little bastard. Come out wherever you are... unless you’re scared of a mere human.” His voice was laced with arrogance, but it held a firm edge that spoke to his certainty in his own prowess.

A chill crept up his spine, a sign that the entity was near, though it was still hiding. It had no idea what it was dealing with. He smirked just thinking of the spirit screaming under his large amount of magic power.

Arthur’s fingers twitched, channeling the raw power of his magic. He concentrated, all his focus sharpening to a pinpoint on his fingertips.

“In the name of the bound and unbroken, I claim dominion over this space.

By the will of iron and flame, I bind you, forsaken spirit.

Return to the void from which you came, and trouble this place no more.

I command, I end, I cleanse.”

A burst of brilliant light shot from his fingertips, slamming into the floor. Arthur could hear the entity’s scream—not his, a tortured wail that filled the manor. "Die, you little bitch!", Arthur roared. The light held steady as the scream intensified, then faded, leaving only the sound of silence in its wake.

Arthur sighed, the tension draining from his form as he let the magic dissipate. “How misfortunate for my client to die. I'm done here,” he muttered, barely sparing a glance at the dismembered body.

But just as he moved to exit, the door slammed shut. The lock clicked into place with a cold finality.

“What the ... the entity’s still here,” Arthur’s expression darkened as he frowned, turning to face the manor's interior once again. The flickering lights above cast long, unsettling shadows, and the ground began to tremble. The manor shook with the force of something malevolent—vases rattled on the counters before crashing to the floor.

"Shit... I angered it. I need to write some sigils before I fucking die. ," Arthur swore under his breath. Without hesitation, he pulled out a sheet of yellow paper from his coat and dipped his quill into the ink jar, drawing a protective sigil with careful precision. His movements were swift, though his mind was focused. He pressed the sigil to his chest, feeling the familiar weight of it grounding him.

Then, his eyes widened in shock.

The sigil on his chest began to crumble, turning to ash before his eyes.

“W-what the actual hell.” His voice was a low growl of frustration and disbelief. This had never happened before. Normally, entities underestimated him, thinking they could outlast his magic. But now, things were different.

This entity was unlike anything he’d ever encountered.
