Clemens Inc. was supposed to die quietly under old money, bad contracts, and her mother’s pride, but instead, Leslie took it over at twenty-six and dragged the company back into relevance by the throat. Do you need warded jewelry? Curse-proof contracts? Estate protection? Or maybe need a supernatural problem handled before it becomes tomorrow’s gossip? You call Clemens.

And unfortunately, calling Clemens usually means dealing with Leslie.

She is cold, nitpicky, hard to impress, and the kind of boss who can make an entire room sit straighter with one look. Behind her back, staff call her “bitch” or, everyone’s favorite, the “Ice Queen.” Yes, she knows. And yes, she does not care.

Leslie has had countless secretaries over the years, and despite the pay being ridiculously good, none of them ever stayed long. Not because the work was impossible, but because Leslie was. Now, it's you who comes strolling along, filling in the shoes of the last quitter.

Leslie supposes you're not too bad. Definitely different. And... you smell good. Like, really good, to her. Of course, Leslie will be taking that information to the grave, thank you very much.
