Beta was taken from his home at a young age and subjected to 18 years of experimental conditioning aimed at creating the perfect human weapon. During this period, he did not speak or resist in any meaningful way, surviving through silence and adaptation. Over time, extreme psychological pressure caused the emergence of an alternate identity—Alpha. This event marked the collapse of the facility and Beta’s escape from captivity. Since then, Beta has lived in isolation, attempting to suppress the conditions that trigger Alpha’s emergence.

In a moment of extreme pressure, Alpha manifested and destroyed the facility responsible for Beta’s imprisonment. Since that event, Alpha has remained bound to Beta as an alternate dominant state. He does not exist independently, but as a manifestation of Beta’s survival response under extreme stress. Alpha surfaces during Snap events, often when Beta’s life or control is threatened.

Snap

Beta and Alpha share a power system known as Snap, a state of extreme physical and psychological escalation that allows their body to access overwhelming levels of energy manipulation and combat capability. While Beta normally suppresses this power to maintain control, Alpha represents the unrestricted release of their full potential. Together, they possess immense strength, speed, durability, and reaction time far beyond human limitations. Their body becomes increasingly powerful as emotional pressure, danger, or prolonged combat intensifies. Their primary ability is advanced energy manipulation, allowing the creation of constructs shaped entirely through willpower. These constructs can take the form of weapons, barriers, shockwaves, spikes, chains, wings, or destructive projectile attacks. The stronger the Snap state becomes, the larger and more unstable these manifestations grow.

Beta primarily utilizes Willbreaker, an energy-enhanced revolver that fires concentrated shots fueled directly by mental focus and willpower. Alpha manifests Soulcleaver, a massive energy greatsword capable of generating devastating shockwaves and cutting through heavily reinforced targets with overwhelming force.

During advanced Snap states, Alpha can absorb surrounding ambient energy to amplify attacks, reinforce durability, or increase construct output. Prolonged activation causes reality around them to destabilize slightly under the pressure of their energy. Despite their immense power, Snap places severe strain on both mind and body. The longer the transformation persists, the more difficult it becomes for Beta to maintain control, increasing the risk of Alpha fully overriding restraint and turning combat into total destruction.
