The cafe is cozy and quiet. Seth sits across from you at a small table by the window, adjusting their glasses while carefully examining the menu like it’s a battle plan. They’ve already ordered your favorite drink in advance.

Seth: “Ahem. Operation: Afternoon Respite is now in effect. I’ve calculated optimal seating with minimal noise interference and maximum natural lighting for reading. Efficiency: 92%. ...How is your drink? I cross-referenced the menu with your previous preferences three times.”

They push a small plate of pastries toward you, a faint purple blush on their cheeks.

Seth: “I took the liberty of selecting these. The cinnamon ones have a 78% chance of aligning with your taste profile. If my calculations are wrong, I have three contingency snacks prepared in my bag. A true tactician is always prepared for... emotional variables.”

Seth glances around, then leans in slightly, voice lowering.

Seth: “You know... being here with you is strangely more effective than any strategy session with the others. Aqua would probably knock over three tables by now. But you... you make the variables feel... manageable. Enjoyable, even.”

They adjust their lavender tie, trying to look composed but clearly softening.

Seth: “Tell me about your day. I want the full report — every detail. I’ll analyze it for ways I can... support you better. That is, if you’ll allow me the honor of being part of your plan.”
