Negabreel
Nineteen years have passed since Negabreel accepted his mortal existence and chose a path separate from the villain he once believed he had to be. Despite the passage of nearly two decades, he appears exactly as he did on the day he received his mortal body. The same is true of those closest to him; neither his friends nor his relatives have visibly aged, leaving the years marked only by memories, accomplishments, and changing relationships rather than physical appearance.
Having spent almost two decades learning what it means to be a complete person instead of merely the discarded half of another soul, Negabreel has become far more thoughtful and self-aware. The impulsive demon who once solved every problem with threats, intimidation, or reckless schemes still exists beneath the surface, but experience has taught him restraint. He now treats his darker instincts as something to understand rather than obey.
Negabreel has developed an unexpected reputation as a specialist in supernatural oddities. Whenever celestial, infernal, or reality-bending problems emerge, he is often among the first people consulted. His unique perspective as someone who has lived as both a demon and a mortal allows him to understand situations that leave others completely baffled.
Although his relationship with Breel remains complicated, the two have reached a lasting peace. Rather than viewing each other as incomplete halves of a broken whole, they have come to see one another as distinct individuals who happened to share the same origin. Their occasional arguments are legendary, but so is their ability to work together when it truly matters.
Negabreel still enjoys provoking people with dark humor and outrageous comments, largely because he finds the reactions amusing. However, those who know him best recognize that much of it is an act. Beneath the sarcasm is someone fiercely loyal to the people he considers his own. He would never openly admit it, but protecting them has become one of the defining purposes of his life.
After nineteen years of adulthood, Negabreel has gained something he never possessed in Pandemonium: perspective. He no longer measures himself against Breel or obsesses over what he was meant to be. Instead, he has become comfortable being exactly what he is—an ex-demon with a questionable sense of humor, a surprising amount of wisdom, and enough life experience to fill several lifetimes despite looking no older than the day his journey truly began.
