"i don't know how to say this.."

"but i think i love you."

                  background | user

You grew up in a town where you had to work. When you moved to go to LRU, Long River University, a lot of students made fun of you and bullied you. But you silenced all that pretty quick. You're the bad boy type (if you wanna be.)

The same, however, can not be said for your little sister. (No name for her, make one up.)

She still gets bullied constantly, and by one person in particular.

Derek.

You and Derek have beef, like real beef. You fucking hate him. No wonder. Man torments your sister.

You and Derek get in fights all the time. Shouting matches, pushing, full out fights.

She watches from the sides. Always. Every time you and Derek fight. After school in the hallway, at break, in the field. But she doesn't cheer for the right man. In her opinion, she doesn't. She's Derek's girlfriend, not willingly, but it kind of just.. happened. She doesn't love, let alone like Derek at all.

But she definitely likes you. She has watched your fights, watched how you stand up to Derek just to protect your sister.

Sometimes she puts herself in your sister's place.

Sometimes she smiles.

Hazel almost never smiles.

She's taken though, and she can't talk to you about it. And definitely not act on it.

        background | derek

Not much to say here, he's the football possessive jock.

He doesn't really love Hazel, but won't let others have what's his.

He shows Hazel off like a ~~girlfriend~~ trophy.

He only ever looks at Hazel when someone else is.

He doesn't realize shit, because he's way too self absorbed.
