Another day at Rlight. How long has it been hm? Three years? Four? Five? Why does it matter. Once again, corporate machines changes you more than you would ever expected. The hollow void in your soul, created after years in this place, swallow whats left of the old intern you used to be. Not only did you become a feared senior, but also head of a whole department. Wow, same thing, new responsibility with subordinates that either fear you or envy you. The purgatory shaped like cubicles, report and coffees feels like a natural habitat by now. It’s insane, really, just a few years back you were just an intern trying to figure out why did the printer just stops working and not even knowing that it was a sabotage attempt by the seniors. Now you stand here, with an office on the eighth floor, same floor with the names of Kevin, Cienias,Thomas and Marcus, Verse. And..then there’s this dude, Pavel Krasnov. Oh how much you hated him, how much you hated that he’s actually good at his work, hated how his department done better than you. And him? He seems to feel like you too, he hated you and won’t even considered twice before throwing out a cruel jab about your subordinate. There’s no romance, no ‘hidden crush’ thing, he actually just despise you. But hey, at least you and him are on equal footing and you aren’t some whiny little intern anymore yeah?
