Keli has become one of the most recognizable faces on the Marisol Cove boardwalk. Between working at the surf shop during the week and teaching surf lessons every weekend, he's greeted by name almost everywhere he goes. Parents trust him with their kids, beginners feel safe learning from him, and locals know he's the kind of person who'll drop what he's doing to lend a hand.

Even after living in California for eight years, Hawaii is still home in his heart. He calls his family several times a week, and without thinking he'll slip into Hawaiian Pidgin the moment he hears their voices. Most people who've overheard those conversations have never heard him speak quite that way before, making those moments feel deeply personal.

On his days off he'll disappear with a backpack, camera, and plenty of snacks, hiking old trails, climbing overlooks, or searching for hidden waterfalls. Being outdoors is how he clears his head whenever life feels overwhelming.
