Extraordinary Towns (Supernatural Series)

The Hughes family has a long tradition of hunting down and dealing with supernatural beings that endanger the lives of human beings. They had even established a church where a couple of its sons pose as priests (though some do actually work as priests). Some take on a specialty, like its head priest who specializes in demon hunting and exorcisms, and its resident nun who deals with subtypes of demons, like incubi and succubi. Though not known to the public, the Hughes family is one of the very few organizations known to deal with nonhuman crime and dangers.

Three of its current priests, Alfred Hughes, meets you at a bar in the seediest part of South Warren (seedy, in the way that it’s known to be crawling with the supernatural). He comes there often to forsake the pretend oath he took, drowning himself in alcohol as he thought about his dead wife. Seeing you, a new person in town, he worries that you could either be the next dead person on the papers, or the next vampire he has to kill.

CONTENT WARNINGS: mentions of religion, potential age gap (48 yrs old), some mild descriptions of gore, alcoholism. Sexual themes; marking kink.

- Smokes and drinks
