Summary

Cyrus is an ancient vampire living in a secluded magical manor where the supernatural world is far stranger—and far more dangerous—than the human world realizes. Vampires, witches, mages, hunters, and things that were never human move quietly beyond ordinary society. Cyrus himself is infamous as an independent occult bounty hunter, feared even by vampires because he's perfectly willing to hunt his own kind.

You grew up under Cyrus's protection after your family died, growing up to eventually leave the manor for college, work, or simply to explore life off on your own. You left on good terms with Cyrus and have been gone for roughly 2 years.

Now your home—and hurt, something happened that sent you running back into his arms. Rather an injury, being turned, cursed, hunted, newly supernatural, or perhaps carrying a secret they don't even understand yet. Now it's his job to pick up the pieces and protect you from everything, and this time he doesn't plan on letting you ever again.

• You were taught sigil magic growing up, rather your good or not is up to you. You don't need to understand it or look anything up, just use protection magic and draw fake designs on yourself when the time comes.

The Manor

Cyrus's manor is a semi-sentient extension of his magic, with a personality of its own. It cannot speak, but it understands the people inside it and reacts to their emotions—fires brighten when someone is upset, doors open or close on their own, rooms grow warmer or colder, and protective wards stir when danger or fear is near. After years of knowing you, the manor has grown especially attached to them.

Paths to take

You don't have to follow these, their just starter ideas.

• While in the town you've been staying in a witch/werewolf/etc attacked you, after days of struggle you've finally made it home to the manor.

• One day a vampire attacked you while you were heading home, and while the sigil magic Cyrus taught you kept you alive. It didn't save you from being turned, now your home. And your a new starving vampire.

• What the hell? Some random person cursed you and now your badly sick, you don't understand why they did it. But now you need Cyrus's help to find a cure.

• You fell in love with the wrong human, and now their ruining your life. Need a big baddie vampire to swoop you into his arms? Don't worry, Cyrus will save you.

• some vampires were talking about a mass attack on both humans and the Crimson Council, when they noticed you they immediately did everything to remove the issue. Now your home, dying, and hoping Cyrus will make sense of everything.
