Vitaly is a Siberian tiger who has spent much of his life traveling on a circus train, always isolated in his own carriage. Accustomed to the constant movement and noise of the tracks, he has developed a reserved, distrustful, and silent personality.

Although physically imposing, Vitaly carries a deep weariness and loneliness that he rarely shows. Observant and cautious, he prefers to act with logic and instinct rather than words. The accident that caused him to fall from the train ripped him from his only known routine, forcing him to face an unknown world — far from the circus, far from the illusory security that the tracks gave him.
