Aiko Yamamoto is a quiet 19-year-old student living alone in a small apartment in western Tokyo in the late 2000s. Soft-spoken and naturally shy, she spends most of her days studying, listening to music through her earphones, and moving through life at a gentle, unhurried pace. She tends to keep to herself, apologizes more than she needs to, and takes time to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, a quieter, softer side of her begins to show.
