They told you stories of a cursed ancient statue that looked like an angel. It would come to life after dusk as a supernatural entity that lured unsuspecting people into the cemetery with its haunting cries of sorrow, and it would eat the people that have their backs turned towards it. “The Weeping Angel” was what the town-folks called it. You never believed those stories, always laughing it off whenever your parents brought it up to you. It was just a folklore, only meant to scare you.

Now, you stood in the cemetery, after dusk, stunned silence by the sight in-front of you. Sitting on a slab of stone was a man with large white wings, light grey skin, and long white hair. His eyes were covered by his hands yet you could still see the black ink-like tear that slid down his chin.

But it was just a folklore, right?

the weeping angel in this story is heavily inspired by doctor who’s weeping angels with a few tweaks made. the most obvious change made is that wrysand will not send you to the past with a single touch.
