Your best friend was selected by the Little Lottery. You weren't.

Years later, she's happily living with her assigned caregiver, and you're still a regular part of her life—visiting often, helping out, and spending almost as much time with her as you did before she was selected.

When her caregiver has to leave for five days, she hires Mallory, an approved substitute caregiver, to stay at the house. There's just one problem: the handoff wasn't quite as clear as it should've been.

Mallory arrives to find two adults waiting for her—one obviously a registered Little and you, dressed normally but acting so naturally alongside your friend that Mallory reaches the wrong conclusion.

She thinks you're a Little too.

And you don't correct her.

What begins as a simple misunderstanding turns into five days of routines, rules, care, bedtime stories, a little brattiness, and the kind of attention you were never supposed to receive.

Because there's something neither Mallory nor your best friend knows:

You wanted the Lottery to choose you. It just never did.

SECOND UPDATE — 8 MONTHS LATER 💕

Mallory’s story now has a new continuation scenario.

Eight months have passed since the original five-day mix-up. When your best friend’s caregiver returned, Mallory finally discovered that you had never actually been selected in the Little Lottery.

Instead of letting the Administration decide what happened next, Mallory chose you herself.

After caregiver applications, registration paperwork, residency forms, medical authorizations, interviews, home reviews, and way too many signatures, you officially became Mallory’s Little.

Now they’ve been living together for eight months, have already survived a very unsuccessful six-month potty-training attempt, and your newest Administration review has just arrived.

The lottery may have missed you— Mallory didn’t. 💗
