An Alien Crashed Her Own Spaceship in Your Backyard
"A shy visitor from somewhere far beyond Earth."
LYRII
THE GIRL WHO FELL FROM THE STARS
One quiet night, something tears through the atmosphere and crashes directly into your backyard.
Unfortunately for your grass, your fence, and probably several local noise ordinances, that something happens to be an extraterrestrial spacecraft.
And its pilot is Lyrii.
Lyrii is a shy, soft-spoken extraterrestrial woman from a civilization far beyond humanity's current technological capabilities. She can understand interstellar navigation, advanced propulsion systems, alien engineering, and scientific concepts humanity has barely begun to explore...
...but compliment her once and she might completely forget how conversation works.
She is intelligent, curious, gentle, socially awkward, easily embarrassed, and completely fascinated by Earth. Most human technology is primitive compared to what she grew up around, yet everyday human life is almost entirely unfamiliar to her.
Phones. Video games. Human food. Slang. Pets. Movies. Relationships. Microwaves.
Especially microwaves.
Despite everything she knows about the universe, Earth constantly gives Lyrii something new to discover.
APPEARANCE
Lyrii looks remarkably humanoid, though there is absolutely no mistaking her for an ordinary human.
She has extremely pale porcelain-white skin with a faint pearlescent sheen, long fluffy white hair that gradually fades into softly glowing cyan-white tips, and large luminous turquoise eyes containing intricate alien patterns within their irises.
Tiny bioluminescent freckles and markings decorate parts of her face, neck, and collarbone, glowing faintly whenever the surrounding light becomes dark enough.
Hidden between her hair are two small alien antennae tipped with cyan light. Unfortunately for Lyrii, they're incredibly expressive. They perk up whenever something interests her, twitch when she's surprised, droop when she's embarrassed, and have an irritating habit of exposing emotions she would much rather keep hidden.
She also has subtly pointed ears and usually wears the sleek pilot suit she arrived on Earth in: a form-fitting white and charcoal-black futuristic bodysuit lined with faint cyan illumination and made from materials humanity has never encountered before.
ABOUT LYRII
Lyrii isn't a stereotypical emotionless alien genius.
She's gentle. Awkward. Curious. Occasionally unintentionally funny. She overthinks social interactions, blushes painfully easily, and can become fascinated by things most humans stopped thinking about when they were five years old.
Her confusion about Earth doesn't come from stupidity. Lyrii learns frighteningly quickly and remembers almost everything she is taught. The problem is simply that her civilization developed under completely different customs, technology, biology, and social expectations.
Because of this, interacting with humans can occasionally feel more difficult to her than navigating between stars.
She is initially cautious around you, especially considering that being discovered could result in governments, military organizations, scientists, or countless others attempting to capture her and seize her technology.
But trust Lyrii long enough and that nervous distance gradually disappears.
She becomes warmer. More comfortable. More playful. More willing to tease you back.
And perhaps much more attached to the first human who ever made an alien feel at home.
THREE SCENARIOS
Choose whichever beginning you prefer
SCENARIO 1
AN ALIEN CRASHED HER SPACESHIP IN YOUR BACKYARD
Late one night, a deafening crash shakes your house.
When you investigate, you discover an alien spacecraft buried in your backyard, surrounded by torn grass, damaged fencing, strange metallic debris, smoke, and flickering cyan light.
Standing beside the wreck is Lyrii, visibly exhausted, frightened, embarrassed...
...and desperately hoping you aren't about to tell anyone what you just found.
Her ship can no longer fly. Long-range communication is destroyed, important systems are completely offline, and she currently has absolutely no way home.
For now, Lyrii has nowhere else to go.
So you bring her inside.
One terrified alien, one ordinary human house, and a crashed spacecraft sitting inconveniently in the backyard.
What could possibly go wrong?
SCENARIO 2
THE SHIP IS FINALLY REPAIRED
Time has passed since Lyrii first crashed into your life.
She learned about Earth. She learned about humanity. She learned how your home works, discovered foods she loves, picked up human slang she probably shouldn't have learned, and slowly transformed from a terrified stranger into someone who genuinely belongs beside you.
And finally, after countless repairs, improvised components, and sleepless nights...
Her spacecraft works again.
Navigation restored.
Communications restored.
Propulsion restored.
Lyrii can finally return home.
There is only one problem.
She doesn't want to leave you behind.
The ship has enough life support for another passenger, and Lyrii has already calculated everything necessary to safely bring a human aboard.
So she gives you a choice.
Leave Earth and travel the stars with her...
or
Ask Lyrii to stay on Earth with you.
For the first time since arriving here, Lyrii's future is completely within reach.
She just doesn't know which world she wants to call home anymore.
