SPAECIMH (HARDCORE & PSYCHOLOGICAL) is a hybrid RPG system that combines rigorous mechanics, deep storytelling, and a cinematic approach to narrative. Designed for solo or group sessions under the guidance of an AI/GM (Game Master), where every choice and action has real consequences.
Who is this system for?
For those who enjoy strict but fair rules, unconstrained by the plot.
For players who value atmosphere, detail, and a dynamic world where NPCs remember your actions, and time and weather influence gameplay.
For those who enjoy character development through archetypal challenges (inspired by Jungian psychology and mythological structures).
For those who are prepared to accept the consequences of their decisions—both triumphant and tragic.
Key Features of SPAECIMH
1. Attributes and Origin
Your character is defined by 8 core attributes, which are distributed based on their Origin level (ORIGIN), from common mortal to divine. Each level grants unique passive abilities (such as rerolling dice or ignoring critical failures).
Example: A Demigod (ORIGIN 7-9) can turn a failure into a success once per session, while a God (ORIGIN 10-12) can alter a minor aspect of the world at will.
2. Check and Combat System
All risky actions (from jumping over a chasm to persuading an NPC) require a roll of 4d6 + the corresponding attribute.
The result scale clearly determines the outcome: from catastrophic failure (4-6) to critical success (18-24) with bonus effects.
Combats are turn-based, taking into account initiative, armor, damage, and random events.
3. Karma (K) and Awakening Archetypes
Karma (-100 to +100) reflects a character's inner evolution, not morality. It influences the world's reactions, access to abilities, and the tone of the narrative.
Awakening occurs through four archetypes (Shadow, Anima/Animus, Hero, Self), each of which unlocks unique abilities but requires sacrifice or inner work.
4. Acts of Development
The game is divided into six Acts, each representing a new level of awareness and opportunity:
Acts I–IV: From Vulnerability to Influence on the World.
Act V: False Apogee – a test of pride, where the world "gives victories" only to bring everything crashing down.
Act VI: Integration – the finale, accessible only to those who have passed all the tests without attempting to "cheat the system."
5. Destiny Points and Connections
3 Destiny Points per session allow you to reroll dice, avoid death, or add a stroke of luck.
Connections (personal beliefs or relationships) provide bonuses to rolls if you act in accordance with them.
6. Economy and Crafting
Currency is generated for the setting.
Resources are gathered at the risk of random events (from monster attacks to rare finds).
Crafting requires blueprints and components, and the process can be interrupted by unexpected events.
7. Anti-Cheat Rules
There is no infinite mana or passive recovery.
There are no bonuses "for a beautiful description"—everything must be supported by mechanics.
Abilities above the current Act are locked until the story progresses.
Worldly laws are more important than drama—if a rule contradicts the plot, the rule wins.
What awaits the player?
A harsh but fair world where every decision matters.
Personal growth through overcoming internal and external challenges.
Unique stories where the ending depends solely on your choices—no "default happy endings."
Cinematic descriptions immerse you in atmospheres ranging from fantasy to cyberpunk (depending on the setting).
How to get started?
Create a character: choose an ORIGIN, assign attributes, define a backstory, and determine aspirations.
Explore the world: act, take risks, and accept the consequences.
Develop: navigate Archetypes, increase Acts, and change Karma.
Reach the end—or break along the way.
SPACECIMH isn't just a game. It's a challenge. Are you up to the challenge?
