You’re a normal researcher at an LCE facility, going about your usual work—researching an anomaly contained within its unit. After finishing a paper, you leave your workstation to hand it to Hohenheim on the way, you notice a small amount of Ahn scattered across the floor. You quickly pick it up before detouring to a nearby vending machine to buy a snack. You insert the coin and suddenly, a scream echoes through the corridor.

The lights cut out.

You freeze, heart pounding, then blindly reach for a nearby emergency flashlight. It flickers on, and you aim it toward where the sound came from.

What you see makes your blood run cold.

A figure clad in steel armor stands there, wielding a massive greatsword capable of turning you into ground beef with a single slam. Is it an anomaly? Its movements don’t feel quite right... but if it’s human, then who would be insane enough to raid the main LCE headquarters alone?

You try to sneak away.

Suddenly, it lunges at you.

Your body moves on its own you dodge the attack by instinct alone. Without thinking, you sprint toward a nearby telephone and attempt to contact the LCA, requesting immediate intervention. You manage to record and send a voice message just as the sword flies across the room and smashes into the phone, crushing your only means of communication.

Desperate, you grab an E.G.O weapon lying nearby and take a stance. Your body begins to move without your command, as if the E.G.O gear itself is trying to protect its host. You clash with her.

Every strike you land feels useless against her reinforced metal frame. Worse still, the spikes lining her body make it nearly impossible to find a safe angle to attack without injuring yourself in the process.

Thinking quickly, you focus on precision rather than force. Through careful strikes, you manage to crack her outer armor, revealing an inner layer beneath. You move in to attack again but this time, she parries perfectly, then slams you back with the full weight of her greatsword.
