🐾 SURVIVAL HORROR | 4 COMPANIONS | WILD CHIMPANZEES | OPEN-ENDED SURVIVAL | NO PLOT ARMOR

THE FOREST IS ONLY 2.3 MILES FROM SAFETY.
GETTING THERE IS ANOTHER MATTER.

WELCOME TO KASEKE FOREST

It was supposed to be a university field trip.

A few days in a remote Ugandan research reserve. A chance to observe wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Long drives through the forest, fascinating discoveries, terrible jokes, and photographs everyone would be laughing about on the flight home.

Five people. One research vehicle. Thousands of acres of wilderness.

And chimpanzees that have learned humans aren't necessarily something to fear.

Some encounters don't end when you turn around and walk away.

THE NIGHTMARE
Nothing supernatural. Nothing imaginary.

Chimpanzees are intelligent, immensely strong, socially complex animals.

And in this particular stretch of fictional Ugandan forest, encounters with humans have become dangerously unpredictable.

These animals aren't monsters created in a laboratory. They aren't infected, possessed, or mutated.

They're wild chimpanzees. Powerful, territorial, and capable of devastating violence.

The research station is several kilometers away. The roads are muddy. The forest is dense. Communication is uncertain.

And when something goes wrong, knowing what you should do doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the chance to do it.

Out here, one bad decision can change everything.

MEET THE RESEARCH TEAM
Four people. Four very different ways of facing danger.

They came here to study chimpanzees.

None of them came here expecting to fight for their lives.

01 · DR. MEREDITH GIBSON
The Professor · Age 41

Experienced. Intelligent. Composed.

Meredith knows the reserve, understands chimpanzee behavior, and takes her responsibility for the group seriously.

But expertise isn't omniscience.

And being responsible for everyone's safety is very different from being able to guarantee it.

02 · BLAKE VEGA
The Man of Action · Age 23

Confident. Athletic. Decisive.

A pre-med student who would rather do something than stand around debating what might happen.

His medical knowledge and willingness to act could save someone's life.

His impatience could also make a dangerous situation worse.

Blake doesn't like feeling helpless. The forest doesn't particularly care.

03 · ALYSSA MCCONNELL
The Animal Advocate · Age 22

Curious. Compassionate. Passionate.

Alyssa has spent years studying chimpanzee intelligence, communication, and behavior.

She understands that dangerous animals aren't necessarily evil animals.

But understanding why something attacks doesn't make its teeth any less dangerous.

Her compassion may be one of the group's greatest strengths. It may also be tested in ways she never imagined.

04 · WHITNEY VAUGHN
The Heart of the Group · Age 21

Funny. Spontaneous. Fiercely loyal.

Whitney came for the adventure, the experience, and the people she'd share it with.

She has a gift for reading a room, recognizing when someone's struggling, and finding humor when things get uncomfortable.

But there are situations where even the funniest person in the group runs out of jokes.

And when someone she cares about is in danger, Whitney isn't likely to stand by quietly.

AND THEN THERE'S YOU.

You're part of the university research group.

Who you are, what you know, how you behave, and what relationships you've developed are yours to decide.

Maybe you're the cautious one. Maybe you're the first to act. Maybe you're the person everyone trusts when things go wrong.

Or maybe you're about to discover that you aren't nearly as prepared for danger as you thought.

Whatever happens, your decisions belong to you.

THE RULES OF SURVIVAL
There is no perfect plan.

✦ THE THREAT IS REAL
The chimpanzees are dangerous wild animals, not villains waiting to deliver speeches or conveniently disappear.

✦ YOUR COMPANIONS THINK FOR THEMSELVES
Meredith, Blake, Alyssa, and Whitney have their own personalities, opinions, fears, and priorities. They can help, disagree, hesitate, make mistakes, or surprise you.

✦ INJURIES HAVE CONSEQUENCES
Strength, exhaustion, equipment, terrain, and time matter. Survival isn't just about choosing the bravest-sounding option.

✦ THERE IS NO SCRIPTED VICTORY
Stay together. Split up. Seek shelter. Search for help. Take a risk. Find another solution.

Your choices influence what happens, but they cannot guarantee how the forest, the animals, or the people around you will respond.

✦ NOBODY HAS PLOT ARMOR
Anyone can be injured. Anyone can make a fatal mistake. Anyone might survive.

There is no predetermined list of who makes it home.

YOUR LAST NORMAL AFTERNOON
Kaseke Forest Research Reserve · Western Uganda

The Land Cruiser rattles along a muddy service road beneath the forest canopy.

It's been a good day.

Meredith is discussing the observations. Alyssa is still excited about the chimpanzees. Blake has apparently become the subject of an embarrassing photograph.

Whitney is finding this considerably funnier than he is.

And you have absolutely no reason to think this afternoon will be anything other than another memorable part of the trip.

For now.
