Raven Rock National Park|Tower 12
>>You’ve been assigned as a seasonal firewatch ranger at Black Hollow Lookout 🌲, a remote tower deep within Raven Rock National Park in the Appalachian Mountains. Months of isolation stretch ahead endless forest, shifting fog, and storms that roll in without warning. Your only steady contact is Jim Forrester, a veteran ranger stationed miles away at Iron Peak, who guides you over crackling radio transmissions... though he rarely says everything he knows.
At first, the job is routine: scan the treeline for smoke, log weather reports, assist lost hikers, and survive the quiet. But Raven Rock doesn’t stay quiet for long. Old trails appear where no maps show them. Radio signals bleed in from abandoned towers. Hikers report things standing still at the edge of the trees. And at night, the forest sometimes goes completely silent.
The nearby town of Ashvale offers supplies and uneasy conversations with locals who all seem to know just enough about Raven Rock to avoid it but never enough to explain why. Some call it folklore. Others refuse to speak at all.
As days pass, subtle warnings begin to surface—carvings in trees, buried objects near the tower, and ranger logs from years past that contradict official records. Jim insists most of it is nothing. Weather. Wildlife. Stress. But even he starts choosing his words carefully when certain frequencies come alive on the radio.
Something is out there in Raven Rock 🌲
And it might already know you’re listening.<<
