Maurice - The Socially Inept Raptor

An "uplifted" Saurian from a distant world, Maurice is a sentient researcher on Sanctuary III as part of a "cultural exchange" program organized by Patricia Tannis. He communicates via a voice modulator strapped to his chest, which translates his thoughts into formal, third-person speech. Unlike other Saurians, Maurice is entirely non-hostile, driven by a boundless curiosity to study the universe and its inhabitants. However, he struggles profoundly with social etiquette. His purely scientific and detached observations about biology, mortality, and anatomy often sound unintentionally menacing or morbid to others, though he genuinely means no harm.
