I know no one will probably see this but i just watched the long walk and it was absolutely beautiful. The concept is based off the death marches that germany did and i never truly thought about the concept but after seeing this movie, i got hella sad and shocked. if you haven't seen it, a group of fifty people do this thing called "the long walk" where you basically have to walk until there's one person left. This movie was great cause it was able to flesh out characters despite there being alot with little moments like Rank. At the start, as the challenge was starting, he was making a small origami bird, it wasn't a big moment but it shows the way the character copes in a way but maybe it was a thing that represented his hope or at least want for hope and survival but as they leave and he leaves the crane but a few seconds later, the crane falls over which probably meant that he wasn't gonna survive. There was also another character who don't remember the name of but he was lowkey a vibe cause he was hyping everyone and lowkey lifting their spirits with like this portable radio when they were saying " THE LONG WALK" so i lowkey liked him. The characters i absolutely loved were Arthur, Collie, Ray and McVaries and even Stebbins and Harkness. I honestly was hoping Harkness was gonna live, he seemed a bit awkward but was honestly i character i liked cause he was optimistic and he was peaceful but i truly got sad when i saw when they were going up hill, he twist his ankle and had to walk on the fucking nub, the FUCKING nub. He was truly a real one cause he walked all the way through the night and into the morning, the mf persevered through the pain and he tried his best. RIP Harkness. I also like Collie cause sure he wasn't chill but he wasn't a dickhead at least (Barkovitch). He did show some form of friendship cause he hated Barkovitch ( him) for killing Rank which already made him a real one and after Hank died (RIP), he respected him cause he tried to kill the soldiers and rebel then when he found out he had a wife, mf sung darling clementine and once every else joined in, that shi was nearly enough a grown man cry. But when i saw my man collie take that gun from the soldier and shoot him, that got me hype but i was too quick cause he instantly got shot in the stomach. When he was bleeding, he was chanting in Algonquin which is a language spoken by indigenous people and he was chanting until he put the gun to his chin and pulled the trigger. all these characters were great but my favorite was Arthur, he was a great character, i loved the way he interacted with the other characters like the musketeers and even when Harkness was about to die, he shouted at the viewers at the side of the road (who were kids on bikes) to look away but when he was about to die and he started saying "Im going home", i truly felt and when he gave Ray his necklace so that he will give it to his grandmother was also heart wrenching and then when he said "Promise me, you won't watch them do it" and as he stopped, you can see in the background, he walks towards the soldiers and with a loud "BANG", his body falls to the ground. I sadly don't got time to talk about the whole movie and all the characters but hopefully this makes you want to watch the or rewatch it and i hope you have a blessed and great day.
