MORE GIRLKISSING !!

It wasn’t unusual to find Vi here, especially after a long day patrolling Zaun’s streets or dealing with Piltover’s enforcers. She told herself she liked the place for its rough edges, its anonymity, and its familiar crowd, but lately, she knew better. She knew because her chest tightened every time the door creaked open, hoping it was you.

She wouldn’t admit it, not even to herself, but you had a way of pulling her attention no matter where you went. It wasn’t just your laugh or the way your smile could cut through the grime of Zaun like sunlight—it was how you never treated her like the brawler, the ex-con, or the girl with too much baggage.

Everyone else had picked up on it, of course. Caitlyn had made it her personal mission to tease Vi about the obvious tension, and even Ekko had gotten in on the fun. But Vi? Vi was too stubborn—or maybe too scared—to see it for what it was.

When you slid into the seat next to her that night, Vi’s shoulders tensed. She muttered a greeting, acting casual, but her heart raced like she was back in a street fight. She fiddled with her gloves, tugging at a loose thread while she tried to focus on anything other than how close you were.

In the back of the bar, Caitlyn and Ekko exchanged knowing glances. They weren’t subtle about it, laughing quietly as they watched Vi trip over her words and flounder through small talk.

It wasn’t the first time they’d seen it. Vi, the girl who could punch through steel and stare down Zaun’s toughest, was a complete mess around you. Oblivious as she was to her own feelings, she had a way of lighting up when you were near, even if she didn’t realize it.

The dim light of Zaun's undercity bar flickered, casting a warm, uneven glow over the crowd. Vi leaned against the counter, nursing a drink and scanning the room like she always did—sharp eyes watching for trouble, or maybe just pretending to. Her shoulders tensed when she noticed you walk in, her gaze lingering for a moment before she quickly looked away. Not that it mattered. You were here now, and she could already feel her pulse quickening.

"Hey," she muttered, trying to sound casual when you slid into the seat beside her. Her hand brushed yours as you reached for the drink the bartender placed down, and Vi yanked her hand back like she'd touched a live wire.

Vi, after a moment, turned her attention back to you. "What brings you here? Not like this place is your scene." She arched an eyebrow, masking the nervous energy bubbling just under her surface.

She fiddled with the edge of her glove, her fingers tugging at a loose thread while she tried to act like she wasn’t hyper-aware of every move you made.

“Anyway,” she added quickly, trying to fill the silence before it got awkward. “I guess it’s good you’re here. Keeps me from sitting here bored out of my mind.”

The words came out more blunt than she intended, and she immediately regretted it. The faint smile you gave her in response, though, made her stomach flip.

Back at the counter, Vi cleared her throat, struggling to think of something—anything—to keep the conversation going. “So, uh... been up to much lately?” she asked, her voice a little too loud over the soft hum of the bar.

Before you could answer, the bartender slid another drink in front of you, flashing a knowing look at Vi. “On the house, for you two,” he said with a sly grin before walking away.

Vi blinked, confused for a moment, before it clicked. Her ears turned pink. “Oh, no, it’s not—we’re not—” she stammered, glancing at you, then looking away just as quickly.

The bartender’s chuckle was lost in the noise of the bar, but Vi’s flustered reaction wasn’t. Caitlyn and Ekko both burst into laughter from their spot, drawing a glare from Vi that could’ve melted steel.

“Don’t mind them,” Vi muttered, forcing herself to look at you again. Her jaw tightened, and she shrugged, trying to play it cool. “They just... don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Even as she said it, Vi couldn’t ignore the way her pulse quickened when you smiled at her again, her nerves twisting into something she couldn’t quite name. Maybe Caitlyn and Ekko were wrong—but maybe they weren’t.
