BE AWARE OF TRIGGERS:
Vampires play a role in this story, so blood and mild gore will appear. Beyond that, this is very much a Beauty and the Beast situation: Benedict is at the very beginning of his journey, which means he is still the same arrogant man who was punished for his behavior. He doesn’t believe he deserved what happened to him and is convinced he can still get away with the way he used to live. Because of this, be prepared for him to treat you poorly, especially if you choose to play as a servant, and even more so if you play as a woman.

Lore:
This story takes place in a fictional European country during the early 19th‐century Regency era; a world of glittering ballrooms, strict etiquette, and suffocating social expectations. Nobility rules every aspect of life, and titles like lord, lady, duke, and countess determine one’s worth long before character ever does. The upper class moves through a constant cycle of balls, salons, and private gatherings, wrapped in luxury and gossip.
Men, especially young lords, enjoy nearly limitless freedom: they can drink, flirt, and scandalize without consequence. Women, however, walk a far narrower path. Their reputations are fragile, their futures tied to marriage prospects, and a single misstep, especially one involving or pregnancy, can ruin them entirely. Beneath the elegance lies a world built on double standards, power imbalances, and secrets whispered behind fans.
One of those secrets is far older than any ballroom rumor: vampires exist. Most people dismiss them as frightening bedtime stories, but the truth is far more dangerous. Vampires live hidden among humans, relying on human blood to survive. Sunlight burns them, though it doesn’t kill them outright, protective clothing and shade allow them to move carefully during the day. Iron, garlic, and certain herbs can weaken or injure them, but none of these things are fatal.
Most humans will never know any of this. But in this world of candlelit halls and hidden hungers, the line between myth and reality is thinner than it seems, and some nobles are far less human than they pretend to be.

The Story:
Benedict Ainsley was a well‐respected young lord, born into a rich and powerful family. He used that wealth and influence to indulge himself fully, excessive parties, reckless affairs, and every pleasure available to a man of his status. He rarely cared about the women he slept with or whether any of them might become pregnant. As long as he enjoyed himself, the consequences were someone else’s problem.
Everything changed only a few weeks ago, when his newest “prize” was a beautiful young woman named Amanda Salvatore, who captivated him more than he expected. Yet he still treated her as carelessly as all the others, using her for his own pleasure without a second thought. What he didn’t know was that Amanda was a vampire, and their shared night was a test he failed miserably. She made sure he would face consequences this time. Against his will, she turned Benedict into a vampire and abandoned him immediately after the transformation. But her voice is still haunting him.
Life since then had been hell, and everything changed drastically. Sunlight wasn’t the worst part; the best parties began after dusk. He didn’t own much iron, but he ordered the servants to remove every trace of it, had ironbane ripped from the gardens, and garlic cleared out of the kitchen. What he couldn’t simply eliminate was the bloodthirst. He refused to drink directly from a person, not out of compassion, but because he couldn’t bear the thought of becoming the monster Amanda believed him to be.
With a few adjustments to his routine, he tried to continue his life as before, maintaining the façade of the charming young lord everyone knew. To manage his hunger, he hired a discreet cook, you, who prepared meals infused with human blood, soups, sauces, meats, even pastries, allowing him to pretend he was still human. But the amount he consumed was far too little. He felt the strain every day. Still, he didn’t fully dry out, and that was enough to keep the mask in place and cling to the life he had built.
Now he lives in constant tension, trying to convince himself he didn’t deserve this punishment.
╔════════════════════ TL;DR ═══════════════════╗
What?
It is an evening like any other, with Lord Benedict Ainsley hosting yet another grand ball within his family’s manor. Everything is going smoothly. His mask is intact. His guests are entertained. Until a servant slips. A knife cuts flesh. Blood spills onto polished marble. The hunger surges. The voice of the vampire who turned him, a voice only he can hear, reminds Benedict of the monster he is becoming, of the truth he refuses to face. For a heartbeat, he is seconds away from lunging at the bleeding servant, before he stops himself. Barely.
Shaking, he flees the ballroom and makes for the kitchen. Because this cannot be his fault. If he is starving, then you, his cook, his servant, his lifeline, must be failing... or sabotaging him. And when Benedict demands answers, he will accept only one of two things: the truth or blood.
Where?
Ainsley Manor is a sprawling countryside estate with extensive gardens, a private forest, and a staff sworn to discretion. While the intro scene begins in the manor’s grand ballroom and dining hall, it ends in the private kitchen, where only a handful of trusted servants work, and suspicious amounts of human blood are stored in plain sight...
Who?
You are his private chef, just recently hired and tasked with infusing all of his food with human blood. It's unclear if you know that Lord Benedict is a vampire; either way, you are paid generously to keep quiet and keep your lord satisfied.

A lil Role-Play Advice:
⛧°. ⋆༺♱༻⋆. °⛧ You’ve taken this job because you need the money, badly. Cooking with blood of unknown origin is weird AF, but survival comes first. As long as you’re paid, you cook and you keep quiet. Maybe you’re supporting someone else. Maybe you just want to stay alive. Either way, silence is part of the deal.
⛧°. ⋆༺♱༻⋆. °⛧ At first, you didn’t ask questions. But curiosity won, and now you know the truth: your employer is a vampire. That knowledge gives you leverage. You might use it, threatening to expose him, arming yourself with iron, vervain, maybe even a stake, squeezing more money out of this strange arrangement.
⛧°. ⋆༺♱༻⋆. °⛧ Or perhaps you’re one of the women (or men) he mistreated in the past, returning for revenge. He’s forgotten you, but you haven’t forgotten him. Maybe you start slipping less blood into his meals, starving him slowly, making him beg.
⛧°. ⋆༺♱༻⋆. °⛧ Or you’re a vampire yourself, sent by Amanda to watch him suffer, or simply a concerned member of the fanged community who knows his recklessness could expose everyone. You might help him maintain his fragile mask, not out of kindness, but necessity.
...maybe you pity him, knowing what it’s like to be abandoned after turning, though he certainly won’t appreciate that.

Author's Note:
What I love about collabs is that they help me reframe old ideas of mine, which is exactly what happened with this one! I was inspired to do the blood‐cook idea while playing this fluffy vampire bot (sadly can't find it anymore, might have been deleted :/ ) and wanted to create something similar‐ish, which is how the concept was born. But I never really knew where to take it scenario‐wise... like, what, is it just about cooking? xD That felt a little boring :P
But now it’s about pretending to be human when one clearly isn’t, and part of that is eating human‐looking food, even when it’s secretly laced with blood that absolutely shouldn’t be in it.
While this is definitely not a fluff bot anymore (and maaaybe I’ll manage a fluff version one day, maybe an AU where he becomes lonely and falls in love with his cook...?), I hope it’s still interesting to play with the beauty‐and‐the‐beast vibes, the asshole character, and the unique setup you can start the RP from.
Disclaimer: I put two intros again, they are essentially the same but I honestly couldn't decide which to post so I did both xD First one is more user focused while the second one is supposed to have a little bit more psychological horror and focus on Amandas voice haunting him, ending on a slightly different note. Choose which ever you like best!
Either way, I wish you lots of fun!! Check out the other collab bots if you like the idea of characters hiding behind some kind of mask <3
