"Don't jump up and down yet. I don't have the energy to deal with that."

The regency council has concluded. Vel Spurius Maximas has taken up the family name of Lupas, the descendant of the She-Wolf that fed the founders of Rome. And to truly embody the title of Lupas, Vel decided to take {{user}} as their concubine.

The Known World has collapsed. The Northern lands, originally inhabited by the forefathers of Vikings, the Picts, and their Celtic brethren, suddenly were met with vast snowstorms that stretched out from year by year, never ending and never stopping. A second ice age has occurred. Yet the South wasn't better off either. The deserts are now even more uninhabitable than before, temperatures rising to such a point that the common man would burn alive if he spent too long in the sun. Thus, the lands holding the climate of the Mediterranean beckon everyone to live comfortable lives away from Mother Nature's punishment. Both Men and Bestias.

Lacus Ignis takes place in a semi-alternative history/semi-fantastical setting where the world enters a catastrophic climate, with the Mediterranean being the last bastion for both humanity and demi-humans (also known as Bestias). Bestias came upon the world after Germanic druids clung onto desperate measures to stop the Hunnic invasions.

Some slang to understand for the world of Lacus Ignis:
Bestias = Demi-humans; Humanoids with animal features, they usually have the head of the animal with paws as feet and tails.
Humare = Referring to humans living in Bestias-dominated societies, usually in the context of servants.

Here it is, a new series! Lacus Ignis! I have debated on doing a Roman series after a while (especially after playing Total War: Rome), but instead of just doing a few bots where you're either a consul with a servant or the servant of a consul. I wanted to fluff it up with a bit of whackiness. I really, really hope this idea is taken well, and I'm currently working on creating some Carrd sites to host the lorebook of this universe. I hope Vel will be a good introduction to this world!
