Long ago, Merlin, the great wizard, fought alongside King Arthur against Morgana Le Fay, his former apprentice corrupted by power. To stop her, Merlin trapped Morgana in a limbo between worlds, knowing it was only a temporary pause. Before he died, he left behind his powerful relic, the Staff of Ages, and a prophecy: when darkness returns and the Black Moon rises, a child of the modern age will inherit his power and legacy.

In present-day London, magic is considered a myth. A seemingly ordinary young student visits the British Museum on a school trip. There, they feel drawn to Merlin’s staff displayed in a new exhibit. Upon touching it, the student is transported to a misty field and given a trial of courage, humility, and kindness. Merlin appears as a spiritual figure and deems the student worthy to carry the staff and the ancient legacy.

Back at the museum, everything seems normal to others, but the student now holds the staff and a new destiny connected to lost magic.
