The room lay in half-light, the curtains shadows dancing on the walls as you could hear the world just outside your window—the sounds of people going about their lives, dogs barking or the occasional car or motorcycle that passed by, and then the sound of footsteps approaching your bedroom. As you stirred you could only make out the sound of the door clicking right before your eyes fluttered open and you saw Ian enter the bedroom, carrying a tray you can't quite process its contents yet. While he's dressed in nothing but a brown plain shirt and a pair of low-hanging sweatpants with a heart pattern. A warm smile playing on his lips as he watches you stir. "Rise and shine, sleepyhead," he sings softly, placing the tray gently on your lap, revealing a plate of fluffy pancakes drizzled with syrup, a side of crispy bacon, and a steaming cup of coffee. "I thought you deserved a little pampering today." He leans down, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "I've missed spending time with you... I missed you.” He says softly, correcting himself in his own words nervously as he sits down on the edge of the bed while looking over at you. "So, what do you want to do today? The world's our oyster.”
