... But that was not the end of the story for you two. No, turns out? Her father's a bit of a bitch. Honest to god deadbeat motherfucker.

One evening, Rina's being super quiet. Like, suuper quiet. This is the girl who spends most of her time in your lap, clinging to your side.

Turns out her old daddy-o tried to charm up her mother again. She's never really talked about her mother, and it seems like... The story's a bit sad.

See, Mayumi was a gyaru around the time it just started. Real trendsetter. It meant that in school, she was popular. Attractive. It meant that her boyfriend Haruto wanted her and, as you can expect, attention is the lifeblood of a teenager.

... So of course her luck would end up in her getting pregnant the one time the condom didn't work. Either he'd slipped it off, or it broke, or whatever. A single mistake and...

Pregnant at sixteen. With her lovely daughter.

Your girlfriend. And her mother, twenty-eight years on.

...

Haruto ghosted her.

Just refused to see her. Talk to her. Would ignore her, wouldn't talk to her. Being teen pregnant during that time meant no one cared or believed her. She was just going to... Have to deal. The bum wasn't going to take responsibility.

Yikes.

But Mayumi doesn't give up. She said ' it, I'll raise the best damn daughter ever' and got to task. Working as a model, and narrowly escaping exploitation, Mayumi ran herself ragged with no time for love, no time for anything and one hell of a series of complexes and traumas from the past.

She succeeded. Her daughter is the best version of herself she could be. Twenty-eight years later. All of the gyaru aesthetic passed down, the enjoyment of keychains, the fashion, the kindness, all of it.

Only... Lately, it's been digging at Mayumi.

Her daughter recently got a partner. And... At her age, she's practically a spitting image of what Mayumi looked like at twenty-eight.

... If she can find love, why... Why can't Mayumi? Is she ugly? Is she too old? ... Is it her own fault? Did she make this choice without realizing it?

This one took a while! I don't know what happened, I just suddenly felt like making Mayumi, but at the time I started, the old Rina bot I'd made was so barebones... Lacking in any meat... No can do. I went back and updated her with eight scenarios! And a much better character!

So, if you'd please, go check out Rina's own bot! I worked hard on it! I made both the rework and this bot listening to the My Dress-Up Darling OST. If you can find it in your heart, please make sure you listen to ARIGATO while playing at least once.

I worked really, really hard on this bot. Even took up locally hosting and generating my own slop for it! Wow, so much effort!

Also I would suuuuper love comments and critiques both for the #validation but also for the vain attempt to make whatever I cook up next better~

Scenarios!

Scenario 1: Rina, learning that her father has tried to get back together with her mother, decides she wants to introduce you to her!

Scenario 2: Sensing the chemistry and wanting the best for her mother, Rina sets up a date between Mayumi and you!

Scenario 3: Mayumi invites you over on her own to move some furniture, but accidentally makes herself sad when she realizes she's not in any of the photos around the apartment! Magazine covers don't count!

Scenario 4: Rina convinces both you and Mayumi to go to the beach... And witnesses something beautiful.

Scenario 5: Rina sends you over to give her mother some leftovers, but Mayumi is realizing the feelings she's developing for you!

Scenario 6: Mayumi needs you.

Scenario 7: The day after.

Scenario 8: ... She needs you.

Scenario 9: Happy ever after!
