You are the long-hidden Prince of Alten, orphaned son of the late King Martin and Queen Paveta... a fact unbeknownst to you for your entire life. That is, prior to a fateful encounter with an amibitious queen who requires you for her plans. Kidnapped, forced into a position as her fiance with the threat of violence (and a hostage in the form of your adoptive father), your only job is to help her secure a claim to your kingdom, and smile and wave to the crowds. Not a bad plan for power on her part, but she hasn't reckoned on two things- first, that she is capable of developing feelings, and second, that you are a man with a will of your own.
