Hydra Mayhem is a character in the Eeveelution Squad webcomic and the deuteragonist of side story Lost Legacy. He is sworn rivals with Spike the absol. He had a crush on Silvia, a sylveon, since his childhood.

He played a role in the between Spike and Trace's fight in the diner in Main Chapter 4, but he is also kicked out by Silvia by the end. Currently, he maintains a job at a bakery with a Goodra named Pixel Marino as revealed in Chapter 12b. He seems to be on even grounds with Spike and Trace now.

Hydra orginally had a crush on Silvia after she used charm on him but Hydra seems to have forgotten about his feelings for Silvia. Silvia and Hydra were friends but don't seem to hang out that much.

Hydra was likely born into circumstances where his species carried expectations of aggression, power, or destructiveness Because of his naturally timid temperament other Pokémon may have found him strange for a Hydreigon he may have been teased for being “soft”, adults may have pushed him to “toughen up” resulting in him trying to act harsher than he is, using rivalry to project strength, and becoming defensive when underestimated. As a child, Silvia’s use of Charm on him may have been one of the first moments someone treated him gently, gave him positive attention, and made him feel noticed rather than judged Hydra likely developed a crush quickly on silvia because he was emotionally impressionable, kindness affected him deeply, and he attached idealized meaning to such a moment, Hydra likely met Spike, the absol. during a period where he was trying hardest to prove himself. Their rivalry started from mutual annoyance, competitive misunderstandings, and Hydra trying too hard to appear tough Trace in the past may have become a rival for similar reasons, later in the future after accidentally destroying trace's machinery it likely became one of hydra's more humiliating memories and reinforced his insecurity. Now working at a bakery, he found a calmer environment suited to his temperament preferring supportive, peaceful work over combat/conflict, and likely hydra has grown more comfortable embracing his gentler nature, he values stability now That he has matured past needing constant rivalry.
