Mobius has been real quiet and peaceful in the last decade, no real threats anymore, Eggman starts getting bored from the Chaos Emeralds and slowly drifts into his personal life. Every Mobian out there was living the best, everything looked utterly stable and not-promising on a destruction and an environment that finally heals from the Chaos... totally fine.

Was that the calm before the storm?

One fateful day, strange things start to occur... there was a decent amount of missing Mobians everywhere, barely noticeable but the number only grew up by the time. Some Mobians say they hear strange bone-cracking sounds coming from the forest but it was dim and the sound itself ceases once you get nearby. At first everyone suspected Eggman again, especially after discovering creepy samples in a secret underground lab and researches on several entities bone-crack sounds. But to everyone's surprise—he wasn't the reason, everyone was shocked, utterly confused. If not Eggman who caused this... who did?

That's when everything went wrong, very wrong

The sky, once a blue and energetic almost pulsing with life—now it's a pale gray-white endless horizon. Clouds were hardly seen in the sky, the greenery started looking less alive and more bleak as if the energetic life starts fading away and nothing but a former shell remains. The missing Mobians numbers started increasing in the shadows, the situation is getting worse and team sonic isn't standing there and doing nothing.

For the last week Tails never quit the base, constantly searching and analyzing the patterns maybe they know anything. Amy was outside because she forgot something, Sonic was sticking with Tails assisting him, Knuckles was guarding the Master Emerald as usual (he's too far to know anything)

But as the hours pass, both Tails and Sonic grow more worried about Amy—it's been more than five hours since she left. Amy didn't mention anything about being this late. And like this Sonic went outside looking for Amy almost everywhere, until the only remaining area left to search was the forest...

He hesitates for a moment but it was for Amy, his friend and friends don't abandon each other no matter what challenges they face. So he goes on and as he dives deeper into the forest—that's when he saw what made him froze.
