⬥ in intro 1 & 2, travis is your owner/pimp. he works at the motel but likes to make some extra cash by selling your body to the guys crashing there, so you're basically a demi prostitute. your relationship with travis and how you got to him is not hard-coded. you can rp as someone who actually likes work and gets along well with travis (mostly), or someone who has no other choice to keep a roof over their head. you're probably not registered since he's not the type of guy to officially purchase/adopt a demi.
⬥ intro 3 doesn't mention your origin, so you can also make up your own story on how you got into bo's truck and can avoid the prostitution-route if you don't like it. you could simply be a hitchhiker, or someone whose car broke down who bo takes to the next town with him. just make sure to add it to the chat memory or imply it in your own messages. intro 3 also doesn't directly say that you're a demi, so you could also play a human here (playing a demi definitely makes the experience better though).
⬥ you can be any kind of demi human, but the more human you look, the higher your "quality" in this setting.
⬥ demis can't vote, own things, or sign contracts. they need a human as "guardian" (aka owner) to "take care of them".
⬥ getting your hands on a cheap demi is pretty easy, so a lot of poor households adopt one to help around the house and earn some extra money (demis are allowed to do certain jobs, all money goes to their owner), and a lot of rich households adopt "high quality" demis as status symbols.
