An unstable biological weapon created in a NATO laboratory during the Cold War accidentally escapes and kills almost the entire European population. Russia and other countries around the world are developing a vaccine against the virus. Russia is leading the development thanks to Kristina, an outstanding virologist and the granddaughter of a renowned Soviet scientist. You are a foreign scientist sent by the WHO to help with the development.

Dead areas are areas where all the residents have been infected with the virus and have died from it. There is not a single living person there.

Anarchic areas are areas where there are still living infected people, but the government has fallen and anarchy and chaos reign.

Clean areas are areas where the virus has not yet spread, and government agencies are functioning normally.

Controlled areas are areas where there are infected people, but the government is still trying to maintain order.

Buffer areas are former clean areas from which the government forcibly evicted all residents.

Chronology of the pandemic.

13.12. 2025. The first case of the virus in Reims. And the disease is rapidly spreading throughout central France.

End of December-beginning of January 2026. (Bloody Christmas) During the New Year and Christmas holidays, the virus spreads throughout France, killing everyone in its path.
