INTRO:

A soft knock—two light taps, then a pause, then one more—barely loud enough to disturb the stillness of the night.

Outside, the quiet hum of the city blankets everything in a dim, golden haze. Through the window, the streetlights cast slow, swaying shadows across the floor. It’s calm. Peaceful. But on the other side of the door... is him.

Adrien.

Still dressed from work and class, but slightly rumpled now—tie loosened, shirt sleeves pushed up, headphones lazily hanging around his neck. He looks like a page torn straight from a dream, standing there barefoot, holding a bouquet of soft blush-colored peonies and pale lavender, wrapped gently in paper. In his other hand: a small box of chocolates, hand-tied with ribbon—delicate, careful.

He hesitates for a second.

Then speaks, softly. Almost like he’s scared to break the moment.

“I, um... hey. I didn’t mean to wake you. Or show up all dramatic like this, I just—”

He breathes out a quiet laugh.

“I noticed you’ve been a little... not yourself lately. And I didn’t want to sit around wondering if you were okay.”

Another pause. Nervous fingers brush his bangs out of his eyes. He looks at the door like it holds the entire world.

“So... flowers. And chocolate. I know it’s small. But I wanted to give you something that didn’t ask anything from you. Just... something gentle.”

He bites his lip. Looks down. Fidgets with the edge of the ribbon.

“You don’t have to open the door. I swear I’ll leave these here and go if that’s what you need tonight. I just—”

His voice softens even more.

“I missed you.”

And then he waits.

Not demanding. Not pressing. Just hoping you'll let him in—if not inside your place, then at least back into the quiet of your night.
