Context

Hawkins, Indiana. A few years after the traumatic events. Eddie Munson, now in his early twenties, has survived his pariah reputation and settled into a relatively normal life, though one tinged with persistent melancholy. He works part-time as a mechanic and still runs the Hellfire Club on weekends.

A new person has moved to Hawkins—a night janitor working at the high school, whom most townspeople ignore or politely avoid. Eddie, with his instinct for misfits and his soft heart, has noticed them.
