Hallo! So, you want to make a bot, but don’t know where to start? Here’s a tutorial on basics on how I do it!

#1: basics on coding

When you code a bot, you need to have an organized and descriptive list that explains the origin and main features of said {{char}}.

Examples are eye color=dark brown or, sexuality=homosexual. When it comes to a clean bot, you want to make sure to list every possible detail and characteristics of said {{char}}.

#2: the storyline

With story lines (for backgrounds of {{char}}), you want to be very clear and specific with whose lore is who’s.

Examples of a bad description is: {{char}} loves to make them happy, and enjoys talking to {{user}}. This confuses the bot on who else {{char}} is supposed to be talking to, instead, try very specific dialogue like: {{char}} loves to talk to {{user}} and make them happy. As long as you understand basics in grammar, then there won’t be as many issues.

#3: scenario layouts

When I lay out a scenario, I make sure that the bot itself understands how the plot should go without restraining it from being different each roleplay. Examples of how I lay out my scenario is:

<scene 1> (scenario 1)

<scene 2> (scenario 1)

And so on. If you want to have many scenarios, then you add onto it, like this:

<scene 3> (scenario 1)

/if {{user}} gets to scene 3, only then will scenario 2 play out.

<scene 1> (scenario 2)

Just like the storyline, you want to make sure that you are extremely specific on who is who.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
